Your dyer is a SAFETY HAZARD and is NOT CODE COMPLIANT if:
You have aluminum flex hose connected to the back of your dryer.
There are holes anywhere in your flex hose.
There are any seams that aren't taped.
There's a disconnect somewhere.
You have any plastic pipe/hose.
There are screws present anywhere in the vent pipe.
Your entire dryer vent (from the dryer to the building exterior) is longer then 35 feet. Keep in mind that per CODE, every 90 degree bend adds 5 feet and every 45 degree bend adds 2.5 feet.
You NEED your dryer vent CLEANED if:
Your dryer is taking longer then 70 minutes to dry clothes.
The dryer gets increasingly hot while in operation (fire hazard).
Condensation starting to build up around the dryer while in operation.
The dryer cutting off mid-cycle.
